Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance – Review

The Original Ghost Rider movie came and went in 2007, was complete toss and everybody pretty much hated it. This leads me to believe that it must’ve done so well at the box office comparatively when considering profit; and this was the only reason a sequel was warranted. However, when you get these two guys, Nevaldine/Taylor of Crank fame on board, you maybe start thinking that if it’s done right, and that’s a very big IF, the whole idea of Ghost Rider might just be ok.  It is of course the era of re-imaginings, concepts taken in new directions etc; and it worked for Batman, so who knows. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol Review

When I heard that another Mission Impossible movie was on it’s way, I kinda thought why. What’s the point? I mean, the first one was great, under the watchful and careful eye of Brian DePalmer. But then came MI:2 – John Woo’s take on it should’ve been better after the action success of Face/Off, but it wasn’t. He just didn’t marry the action and espionage very well, relying on slo-mo far too much (and those frickin’ trademark doves!). And then to be honest, I don’t even remember MI:3, which is surprising, especially now considering what J.J. Abrams has done with Star Trek and Super 8. Read more of this post
